Dawn Lewis has been working in the professional world since 2003. Dawn began their career as a Management & Program Analyst for the Department of Homeland Security. Dawn then moved on to become the Operations Manager for Baltimore Healthy Start - Community Child Health Network in 2010. In 2012, they were the Executive Operations Coordinator for Health Leads, followed by their role as Chief of Staff in the 9th District for the Baltimore City Council in 2013. In 2016, they became the Program Director for Caroline Center-Gibbons Common and in 2018, they Co-Founded and became the Program Director for PIVOT - Creating Pathways for Women from Prison to Purpose. Most recently, in 2021, they began working as a Sr. Project Administrator for Lux Consulting Group, Inc.
Dawn Lewis obtained their BA in Political Science (PreLaw) from Penn State University between 1981 and 1985. Dawn then earned a Certificate in Paralegal Studies from Widener University in 1986 and 1987. In 1999 and 2001, they earned a MA in Management (Organizational Development) from Notre Dame of Maryland University. Between 2010 and 2018, they are a PsyD Candidate in Psychology (Organizational Diversity) from Ashford University. In addition, they have obtained two certifications: Certified, Multi-Rater Assessment from the Cultural Intelligence Center, LLC in May 2015, and Qualified Administrator, Global Competency Inventory (GCI) from KOZAI Group in April 2015.
