Erika Yao

Erika Yao is a experienced research professional with a background in environmental science and geology. As a Research Associate II at Lygos since October 2022, Erika has progressed from a Research Associate I role. Prior experience includes serving as a GIS Intern at the U.S. Geological Survey, where Erika conducted analyses related to wildland fires and ecosystem services, and as a Junior Specialist at the University of California, Davis, managing vineyard soil health projects. Additional roles include Research Assistant for NASA's Santa Susana Field Laboratory, Environmental Consulting Intern at Environment in the Public Interest, and Courseware Associate at Follett Higher Education. Erika holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Earth and Soil Science with a Hydrology Concentration from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
