Robert Alford

Robert Alford is a seasoned technical manager with extensive experience in the minerals processing industry, currently serving as the Technical Manager - Projects at Lynas Corporation Ltd since February 2013. Prior roles at BHP Billiton include Engineering Lead - Concentrator, where Robert contributed to the pre-feasibility study for the Olympic Dam mine expansion, and Senior Technical Metallurgist, where Robert developed a new flotation flow sheet through comprehensive laboratory and pilot scale testing. Further experience encompasses positions as Senior Research Metallurgist and Senior Development Metallurgist at BHP Billiton, focusing on process improvements and operations support, as well as a tenure as Senior Metallurgist at McArthur River Mining, providing technical support during the commissioning of a minerals processing facility. Robert holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Minerals Processing from The University of Queensland.
