William Cavanaugh

William Cavanaugh is the EVP of Sales at Lyniate. William has over fifteen years of experience in the healthcare industry, with a focus on technology and operations.

Cavanaugh began their career at UnitedHealth Group, where they served as the Director of Technology Development and Operations. In this role, they were responsible for translating marketing strategies into operating plans for two distinct disease management businesses. William also designed and implemented operational rigor to exceed business ROI requirements, consumer engagement goals, and operational savings commitments.

In 2007, Cavanaugh left UnitedHealth Group to join Vital Images as the Global Technology, Professional Services & Sales Operations Manager. In this role, they were responsible for building a world-class sales and professional services organization. William also managed global operations, which included revenue forecasting, pre-sales solutions, inside sales, technical operations support, CRM, sales processes, market analytics, and territory planning.

In 2015, Cavanaugh joined Bayer HealthCare as the Head of Global Informatics. In this role, they were responsible for leading the company’s informatics strategy and initiatives. William also oversaw the company’s global IT operations, which included data management, analytics, and business intelligence.

Cavanaugh has been with Lyniate since 2019. In their current role as EVP of Sales, they are responsible for leading the company’s sales efforts and initiatives.

William Cavanaugh has an MBA from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts from University of St. Thomas in Quantitative Methods/Computer Science. William also attended Plainview High School.

William Cavanaugh works with Scott Galbari - President, COO, & Chief Information Security Officer, Jessica Nisenbaum - Chief People Officer, and Merritt Mcgowan - Chief Legal Officer. William Cavanaugh reports to Erkan Akyuz, CEO.
