Amy Chen

Senior Research Associate at Lynx Biosciences

Amy Chen has worked in the biosciences field since 2012. In 2016, they worked as a Student Researcher at UCI Earth System Science, where they conducted research using WOCE (World Ocean Circulation Experiment) data. In 2012, they began working as a Hostess at Sushi Park, where they provided customer service and memorized an extensive number of menu items. In 2017, they began working as a Laboratory Assistant at ProSciento, Inc., where they provided lab support and quality control of kit preparation, sample labeling, specimen preparation, specimen storage, and specimen shipping. In 2019, they joined Crown Bioscience, Inc. as a Research Associate, where they were responsible for mammalian cell and organoid culture, including media and buffer preparation, culture initiation, maintaining aseptic technique, propagation, and cryopreservation of cells and organoids, including primary human cells from commercial and/or patient sources. In 2021, they began working as a Senior Research Associate at Lynx Biosciences, Inc., where they process and analyzes normal blood donors and primary patient biopsies for ongoing partnerships and internal studies, and prepares and presents data for internal and external audiences.

Amy Chen attended UC Irvine from 2013 to 2017 and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Earth System Science; Global Sustainability; and Oceanography from the University of California Irvine.
