Jason Slye

Associate Vice President, Quality Control at Lyra Therapeutics

Jason Slye has extensive work experience in the field of quality control. Jason began their career as a QC Scientist at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals in 2001 and later became a QC Supervisor, managing the Quality Control Laboratory Systems group. Jason joined Pfizer when they acquired Wyeth in 2009, where they worked as a Senior QC Supervisor, managing the Quality Control Laboratory Systems group and the Operational Efficiency group.

In 2011, Slye moved to Shire as an Sr. Quality Project Manager before being promoted to Associate Director of Quality and then Director of Global Quality. In these roles, they were responsible for developing quality systems processes, overseeing core quality business processes, and coordinating facility startup activities. Jason also coached and developed staff, implemented operational efficiency initiatives, and managed capital projects.

Slye then joined Takeda in 2019, after they acquired Shire. At Takeda, they served as the Director of Global Quality, responsible for developing a network-based testing strategy and implementing quality systems and processes. Jason also led facility startup activities and was involved in cross-functional coordination.

In 2020, Slye joined Beam Therapeutics as the Head of Global Quality Control before transitioning to the role of Head of Product Quality & External Quality Control.

In 2022, they moved to Seres Therapeutics as the Executive Director of Quality Control and later took on the role of Executive Director of Product Quality & Technical Services. At Seres Therapeutics, they oversaw and managed routine testing, ensured compliance with regulations and internal SOPs, and led various functions including analytical sciences, stability, and QC support services.

Slye's most recent work experience is at Lyra Therapeutics, where they serve as the Associate Vice President of Quality Control.

Jason Slye holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Supply Chain Management from Northeastern University, which they obtained from 2015 to 2019. Jason also earned a Master's degree in Regulatory Affairs from Northeastern University between 2006 and 2008. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's of Science degree in Health Science at Merrimack College from 1997 to 2001. In addition to their degrees, they have obtained certifications such as Pharmacovigilance Certification from DIA in 2019, Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) from ASQ - World Headquarters in December 2019, and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSSGB) from ASQ Lean Enterprise Division in 2010.
