Apoorv Garg

Apoorv Garg has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Apoorv currently serves as a Lead OR Scientist at Lyric since April 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Lead Operations Research Scientist at Coupa Supply Chain, powered by LLamasoft, from February 2022 to March 2022. Apoorv also worked as a Senior Data Scientist (Operations Research) at the same company from January 2021 to February 2022, where they engaged with clients and led the design and development of solutions for supply chain optimization and business decisioning problems.

Before joining Coupa Supply Chain, Apoorv worked at Opex Analytics as a Data Scientist (Operations Research) from January 2019 to January 2021. In this role, they focused on designing, developing, and deploying solutions for supply chain decision problems using data analytics, algorithms, machine learning, and mathematical optimization.

Apoorv'searlier experiences include working as a Research Scholar at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay from January 2013 to January 2019, and as a Research Intern at Tata Consultancy Services in May 2014.

Apoorv's career also includes academic roles, such as an Assistant Professor at Anand Engineering College from August 2007 to December 2012. In this position, they taught and trained undergraduate students in Computer Science, developed teaching-learning materials, and organized workshops and conferences. Apoorv also served as a Business Consultant at AS Technosoft P Ltd. from January 2012 to July 2012, where they provided consultancy for business development and was involved in system architecture and GUI design of a low-cost ERP system.

Earlier in their career, Apoorv worked as a Research Engineer at the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) from August 2002 to July 2007.

Apoorv Garg has a strong educational background in the field of computer science and electrical engineering. Apoorv completed their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur between the years 1998 and 2002. Following this, they pursued a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Computer Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi from 2003 to 2006.

Continuing their academic journey, Apoorv Garg obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay spanning the years 2013 to 2019.

In addition to their formal education, they also hold a certification in "The Eight Essential People Skills for Project Management (Blinkist Summary)" obtained from LinkedIn in October 2020.
