Community Experience Manager at Lyte

Koby Heramil has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and organizations.

In 2017, they started their career as a Human Rights Advocacy Trainee at the United Nations Association (UNA-USA), where they gained knowledge about human rights issues and participated in a project focused on human rights advocacy.

After that, they joined the International Rescue Committee as a Volunteer Coordinator & In-Kind Donations Intern, where they played a crucial role in coordinating volunteers and managing community support for refugees.

Following this, Koby worked as a Social Media Specialist at the University of San Francisco for a brief period.

In 2019, they joined Google as an Engagement Pod Coordinator, Student Development, supporting the company's mission to increase the diversity pipeline of future technologists by managing key diversity development initiatives.

After their stint at Google, Koby joined Black Girls CODE in 2020 as a Program Manager- West Coast, Chapter Programs, where they focused on introducing computer programming and technology to girls from underrepresented communities.

Currently, Koby works at Lyte as a Community Experience Manager, responsible for developing and executing priority I&B programming, planning large-scale events, and fostering an inclusive team culture while driving diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the agency.

Koby Heramil received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from California State University-San Bernardino, where they studied from 2011 to 2014. Koby later pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in International Studies from the University of San Francisco, which they completed between 2016 and 2017. In addition to their degrees, Koby obtained the CertTESOL certification from Trinity College London in January 2015 and completed a course titled "Inclusive Leadership: The Power of Workplace Diversity" at Coursera in July 2021.
