Jim Gillis

Jim Gillis has a diverse work experience, starting in 2008 when they served as Vice President of Global Sales at M.S. Rau Antiques, a renowned French Quarter landmark. Jim later became the Principal Owner of Puerto Rico Coffee Company's Finca La Guava in 2010, and then expanded their ownership to include Cacao de La Isla in 2013. Additionally, they served on the Homeland Security Studies Public Advisory Board at Tulane University starting in 2013. Since 2015, Jim has been the Owner of Caribbean Queen 100% Pure Island Honey, a pesticide-free farm located in the Highlands of Maricao, Puerto Rico. Overall, Jim has demonstrated a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a dedication to various industries throughout their career.

Jim Gillis attended Tulane University from 2008 to 2009, where they obtained a Master of L.A. degree in Latin American & Caribbean History. Before that, they attended Balboa High School from 1980 to 1982, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for this period. In terms of additional certifications, Jim obtained certification in Puerto Rico Coffee Company, Inc. & Caribbean Queen 100% Pure Island Honey from the Pollinator Partnership in January 2016, and also from Caribbean Kosher Certification - Rabbi Mendel Zarchi (Chabad) in January 2012.
