John Teeter has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. John most recently worked as a Partner at Skylight Digital LLC since June 2017. Prior to that, they served as an Advisor at People Power Company starting from February 2017. In 2015, John founded URBAN.SYSTEMS and held the position of Chief Innovation Officer. John was also the Chairman and CIO at Maalka in the same year. Before these roles, they worked as a Catalyst at EnergyOS.org starting from October 2010. John has a background in government innovation as a Presidential Innovation Fellow Alumni at The White House from June 2013 to June 2017. John also worked as a Computer Scientist at the National Institute of Standards and Technology from June 2014 to February 2015. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Scientist at People Power from April 2009 to June 2013. John's earlier experiences include being a Principal at Endurance.Net from 1999 to 2009 and owning First Step Research/First Step Internet from 1989 to 1999.

John Teeter started their education journey in 1969 at Idaho State University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. John dedicated two years to their undergraduate studies, and graduating in 1971. Following their completion of the undergraduate program, John went on to enroll at the University of Idaho in 1971. John pursued a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and spent three years dedicated to their studies, completing their degree in 1974.
