Eetu Tuomala

Eetu Tuomala has been working in the tech industry since 2000. Eetu started as a Web Designer at Webtrek Oy and Sarajärvi & Hellén Oy/Done Oyj. In 2001, they became a Media Designer at Axel Digital Middle East/Evia Helsinki, where they worked on an e-learning environment for Zaied II Military College. In 2005, they joined Prewise Oy as a Senior Developer, where they were responsible for web development, managing development projects, consultation, and video production. From 2015 to 2018, they worked at SC5 as a Cloud Application Architect and Full Stack Developer, where they helped to organize public and SC5 internal meet-ups and hackathons. Since 2018, they have been working at MaaS Global Ltd as VP of Engineering, Head of Backend and Infra, and Senior Architect.

Eetu Tuomala obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Media Technology from Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences between 2005 and 2011. Prior to that, they attended Savonlinna Senior Secondary School of Art and Music from 1994 to 1997. In addition, Eetu Tuomala has obtained certifications in Machine Learning from Coursera in March 2018, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (SAA) from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in March 2022, and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services in December 2015.
