Jean-Michel Henchoz

Head of Swiss market at MaaS Global

Jean-Michel Henchoz began their career in 1993 as a Research Engineer at EPFL. In 1995 they moved to The University of Tokyo as a Research Assistant. In 1998 they became Manager Telematics at Touring Club Suisse TCS, where they launched the first map-based traffic information website. In 2000 they were appointed Head of Traffic, Mobility & ITS at Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), where they were responsible for planning of the commission’s expert activities, representing the FIA in UN working groups, drafting amendments and lobbying for FIA members. In 2004 they became Head of Mobility & Internal Communication at FIA, where they redeveloped the organization of the association member relations in the mobility department and organized events for both clubs experts and top executives. In 2007 they joined DENSO as a Technical Manager, European Affairs & Business Development, where they represented DENSO in automotive related associations, forums and EU institutions. In 2017 they were appointed Board Member at 5G Automotive Association (5GAA). In 2018 they joined MaaS Global Ltd as Head of Swiss market, where they led the Swiss market and organised investor search and meetings in Switzerland leading to €1.5 million investment. In 2019 they became Co-Chair Strategy Committee at ERTICO - ITS Europe.

Jean-Michel Henchoz obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Civil Engineering, Transport from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) between 1991 and 1993. Jean-Michel then went on to obtain a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Transport from The University of Tokyo between 1995 and 1997. Finally, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management, General from University of Lausanne - UNIL between 2002 and 2004. Additionally, they have obtained a 6σ certification from GoLeanSixSigma.com.
