Head Of Design Development And Exhibitions Section at MAC Carpet

Mohammad Mahmoud has extensive experience in the textile and carpet industry. Mohammad started their career in 2006 as a Textile Designer at Samuel Tex, where they were responsible for designing upholstery fabrics and embroidered bed covers. Mohammad also created new ideas for schiffli embroidered curtains using the Saurer UNICA machine and developed jacquard designs layouts.

In 2007, they joined Soft Linen as an Embroidery Digitizer and was appointed as the Head of Designing and Embroidery sector. In this role, they were in charge of creating highly creative ideas for towels, bed sheets, and duvet covers, as well as handling special orders and overseeing the embroidered home linens products.

Since 2009, Mohammad has been working at MAC Carpet, initially as a Carpet Designer. Mohammad worked as a Senior Designer for printed carpets, rugs, runners, wall-to-wall, and bath mats, catering to both international customers and the local market. Mohammad'sresponsibilities included creating new designs and ideas aligned with the latest color trends and motifs. Mohammad was also involved in reshaping and resizing old designs as per customer requirements. In January 2017, they were promoted to the position of Head of Design Development and Exhibitions Section, where they assumed additional responsibilities related to exhibitions and design development.

From 2001 to 2006, Mohammad Mahmoud attended Helwan University Cairo, where they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree. Mohammad'sfield of study was in Textile Design and Engineering.
