Magn Wennemyr has a long and varied work experience in software engineering. Magnus began their career in 1994 as a Senior Software Engineer at Logikos, Inc., where they were a team lead and junior architect on a Compaq/Thomson joint venture. In 1997, they moved to Steelcase as a Senior Software Engineer, where they designed and implemented a C++, 3-D visualization engine for Steelcase furniture vendor software. Magnus then moved to Aperture Technologies in 2000, where they were a Senior Software Engineer and worked on VISTA, the Data Center Infrastructure Management market leader software. In 2008, they were hired by Emerson Network Power, where they designed, developed, and maintained the enterprise software solution through multiple releases. In 2012, they became the Chief Technology Officer at Basic6, Inc., where they were named 'Best Startup' at Interop 2014 and one of the most outstanding advances in cloud technology by CIO Magazine. In 2019, they moved to MachineMetrics as a Senior Software Engineer.
Magn Wennemyr received a BA and BS from Swarthmore College in 1989, majoring in Music and Engineering. Magnus then obtained an MS in Engineering from Dartmouth College in 1991. In 1992, they began their ABD at the University of Oklahoma, studying Remote Sensing/Pattern Recognition. Prior to this, they attended Woodstock International School from 1980 to 1984.
