Anthony Bigby

Anthony Bigby serves as Senior Legal Counsel at Mackay Regional Council since April 2019, where involvement in the Executive Leadership Team facilitates strategic direction for the organization. In addition to managing a professional team dedicated to the Council's legal affairs, Anthony has undertaken various acting roles, including Manager People & Culture and Manager Health & Regulatory Services, during transitional periods. Prior experience includes providing legal advice at Toowoomba Regional Council and leading Aden Lawyers Pty Ltd as Principal Solicitor. Anthony holds a Bachelor of Laws from Queensland University of Technology, a Bachelor in International Business from Griffith University, and an MBA from the Australian Institute of Management.
