Mackintosh Academy
Anna Blinstein is an experienced mathematics educator specializing in middle school instruction. Currently serving as an MS Math Specialist and 7th grade Homeroom teacher at Mackintosh Academy since August 2021, Anna focuses on developing a problem-based math curriculum that accommodates diverse learners and integrates IB standards. Previously, Anna spent seven years at The Nueva School, where roles included Mathematics Teacher and 10th grade Dean, contributing to initiatives in flexible grouping models, standards-based grading, and cross-disciplinary projects. Additional experience includes instructing courses at Stanford University and leading a summer program for students from low-income communities. Anna holds a Master's Degree in Mathematics Teacher Education from Stanford University and a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Genetics and Molecular Biology from Northwestern University.
