Mackintosh Academy
Emily Pancoast is an experienced educator with a diverse background in teaching and curriculum development, currently serving as Lead Third Grade Teacher at Mackintosh Academy since July 2017. Prior roles include 3rd Grade Dual Language Teacher and Dual Language Reading Interventionist at Bellevue School District, as well as positions as a Second Grade Teacher at Denver Public Schools and Pioneer Charter School. Emily has demonstrated a strong commitment to fostering growth in linguistically diverse students, evidenced by innovative teaching strategies and collaborative unit design. Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Colorado Denver and a Bachelor's Degree in Education and Environmental Studies from Macalester College. Emily's dedication to professional development and community engagement is reflected in previous roles, including leadership in environmental education initiatives and tutoring high school students in the AVID program.
