Jiazhi Song (Hunter)

Jiazhi (Hunter) Song is a Software Designer at MacLean Engineering since August 2023. Previously, Jiazhi was a PhD Candidate at McGill University from September 2018 to August 2023, focusing on fast rollover-free motion planning for mobile robots, solving nonlinear optimal control problems under dynamic stability constraints. Jiazhi also served as a Teaching Assistant for courses in systems dynamics and control and Mechanics I at McGill University. Prior to that, Jiazhi was a Graduate Student at Purdue University from September 2016 to May 2018, conducting research on distributed systems control and earning a Master of Science in Aeronautics and Astronautics, while also assisting in teaching flight dynamics and aeromechanics courses. Jiazhi holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University, as well as a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University.
