Angela James

Angela James has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Angela is currently the Vice President and Head of Clinical Pharmacology at MacroGenics, Inc., a position they have held since June 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Astellas Pharma US where they held various roles, including Director from March 2020 to June 2021, Director from October 2017 to March 2020, and Associate Director from May 2015 to October 2017. Before joining Astellas Pharma US, Angela worked at Celgene as a Senior Scientist from January 2011 to May 2015, and at Alcon Laboratories, Inc. as a Senior Scientist III from September 2006 to January 2011.

Angela James holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Maryland Baltimore. Prior to that, they completed their Masters of Science degree in Pharmacometrics from the same university between 2012 and 2014. Before pursuing their postgraduate studies, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Houston from 1992 to 1995. Angela James began their higher education by earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Biology, General from Rice University from 1987 to 1991.
