Karen Spohn

Karen Spohn has a diverse work experience in the field of data management, with a particular focus on the pharmaceutical industry. Karen is currently working as the Director of Data Management Operations at MacroGenics, Inc. since January 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the Associate Director at the same company from October 2020 to January 2023.

Before joining MacroGenics, Karen worked as a Manager of Data Management at the company from May 2018 to 2020. Karen also held the position of Senior Data Manager at MacroGenics from January 2016 to 2018.

In addition to their experience at MacroGenics, Karen has worked as a Senior Data Team Lead at Quintiles from February 2013 to July 2015. Before that, they held the role of Senior Clinical Data Manager and Clinical Data Manager at Human Genome Sciences from July 2005 to January 2013.

Karen's career in data management started with a role as a Clinical Data Manager contractor for HGS at Kforce in April 2005. Prior to that, they worked as a Data Manager and Data Coordinator at Amarex Clinical Research from 2000 to 2005.

Karen Spohn attended High Point University from 1996 to 2000 and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. In addition, they obtained the Certified Clinical Data Manager certification from the Society for Clinical Data Management in March 2012 and completed GCP Training at Barnett International in 2014.
