Akiko Valverde has over 18 years of professional experience in the employee recognition industry. Akiko began their career in 2001 as a Senior Consultant at Effective Internet Solutions, where they developed customized human resource management applications. In 2003, they joined Madison Performance Group, a global leader in the employee recognition industry, as the Director of Sales Engineering. In this role, they were a Subject Matter Expert for the company's SaaS product, business operations, client onboarding, and support structure. Akiko also regularly presented in front of a variety of audiences as a product evangelist and expert on industry best practices. Akiko then moved into the role of Sales Engineer and Implementation Manager, where they were responsible for training and mentoring project managers, business analysis, and implementation managers on client onboarding and implementation procedures. Akiko then served as the Director of Product Management and the Director of Project Management and Business Analysis, where they directed the hiring, training, scheduling, and resource planning of the company's project managers, business analysts, and QA analysts. Akiko then took on the role of Lead Business Systems Analyst, where they were responsible for overseeing and training the company's business analysts, and for discovery, requirements gathering, and preparation of functional and business requirement documents for all system development initiatives. Finally, they served as the Technical Project Manager, where they were responsible for overseeing the day to day operational and technical aspects of clients.
Akiko Valverde obtained a Bachelor of Science in Advertising and Psychology from Boston University between 1996 and 2000.
