Michelle Matheson, CMP, has over 15 years of meeting and event management experience. In 2023, they joined Madison Recognition as a Meeting Event Manager. Prior to this, they were a Meeting Manager (Dedicated to Pfizer Inc.) at BCD Meetings & Events from 2016 to 2023. From 2013 to 2016, they were an Event Services Manager at SmithBucklin. From 2011 to 2013, they were an Event Services & Hospitality Manager at Chicago Event Management - Bank of America Chicago Marathon, where they established processes, procedures, and timelines for multiple events, managed a $12 million annual budget, and helped to develop goals and strategies to create requests for proposals and implement events. Michelle also designed three large hospitality venues for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. From 2005 to 2011, they were a Sr. Events Coordinator at SmithBucklin, where they managed all aspects of conferences, trade shows, and seminars from planning through execution and wrap-up, kept projects on track while ensuring quality and maximizing productivity, and raised one client's profits by 15 percent through a sustainable regional model.

Michelle Matheson, CMP obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) from Indiana University Bloomington in 2002. Michelle also holds a Certified Meeting Professional certification from the Convention Industry Council.
