Frank Merkens has extensive experience in tax management, with roles in various companies. Frank started their career as a Tax Manager at Accon Accounts & Belasting adviseurs in 1998, and later worked as a (Senior) Tax Manager at Ernst & Young from 2000 to 2006. In 2006, they joined Maersk Drilling as an International Tax Manager, where they stayed until 2010 when they became the Head of Tax at SVITZER (Maersk Group). Frank then moved to Maersk Oil in 2015, holding the positions of Senior International Tax Manager and later Head of Corporate & International Tax until 2018. From 2018 to 2019, they served as the Group Tax Director at Hempel A/S. In 2019, they returned to Maersk Drilling as an International Tax Manager (interim), providing support to the tax department. Currently, Frank is the Head of Tax at Maersk Supply Service since June 2020.
