Gayle Towell has diverse work experience in writing, education, and physics. In 2007, they started teaching physics at Clark College and designed a flipped classroom structure for courses that emphasized active, student-centered learning. Gayle also developed a 27-Unit General Physics Workbook to support a full-year flipped classroom structure for general physics. Gayle's writing experience started in 2008 when they became an author and playwright. Gayle worked as a Freelance Writer since 2013, where their responsibilities included creating web content on topics like cybersecurity, finance, project management, business, and more. Gayle also developed college and pre-college math, physics, and astronomy materials and curriculum. Gayle is also the founder and managing editor of Microfiction Monday Magazine. Gayle joined M-Tech in 2022 as an SEO Writer.

Gayle Towell received a Certificate in Storytelling & Content Strategy from UW Professional & Continuing Education in 2023. Prior to that, they earned a Master's degree in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Oregon between 2002 and 2007, and a Bachelor's degree in the same field from Smith College between 1998 and 2002.
