Amy Lawson

Amy Lawson is a highly experienced engineer with a robust background in electrical engineering and systems design. Currently serving as a Staff Systems Engineer at Magic Leap since September 2024, Lawson previously held multiple roles at WHOOP, including Staff Tech Lead and Senior Electrical Engineer. As the Co-Founder and Principal R&D Engineer at Lawson Scientific LLC, expertise was demonstrated in distributed health sensing, wearable interfaces, and compliance with FDA and ISO standards. Prior research experience at MIT Media Lab and contributions as a Graduate Fellow at the Tata Center focused on medical device innovations in resource-constrained settings. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Media Arts and Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Boston University.
