Douglas Watkins

Douglas Watkins is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in software engineering and development. Currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Software Engineering at Magic Leap since February 2023, Douglas previously held the position of Partner Engineering Director for the Business Applications Group at Microsoft from March 2020 to February 2023. Additional experience includes leadership roles at Amazon Web Services as Director of Engineering for S3 Storage and various positions at Microsoft spanning 18 years, focusing on Azure Stack, Windows Virtualization, and Principal Development Lead for MSTV. Douglas began their career at Peter Norton Computing and has held significant roles at Connectix Corporation, Metrowerks Inc., and ccMail/Lotus Development Corporation.
