Mona Taponen

Mona Taponen has a diverse work experience across various companies and roles. Mona is the CEO of Magmatao since 2020. Prior to that, they co-founded Voodoo Lily Oy in 2019 and Raylab Oy in 2020. In 2018, they founded Rytmis. Mona also has experience as a Founder at RetkiRent, a camping equipment rental community, since 2017. Before their entrepreneurial ventures, they worked as an Ink and Paint Artist and an Animator at Rovio Entertainment Ltd. from 2012 to 2015. Mona also worked as an Animator at Anima Vitae Ltd. from 2011 to 2012 and PlaySys Ltd. in 2010. Additionally, they served as a Course Assistant for the Aalto Ventures Program at Aalto University in 2015, focusing on storytelling for entrepreneurship.

Mona Taponen has a diverse education history. Mona first pursued their Bachelor of Culture and Arts degree in 3D Animation and Visualisation from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, which they completed between the years 2006 and 2012. During their undergraduate studies, they had an opportunity to participate in the Erasmus exchange program at NABA Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in 2009-2010, where they focused on Media Design. Following their undergraduate studies, Mona continued their education at Aalto University, where they obtained a Master's Degree in New Media Design and Production, with a Minor in Aalto Ventures Program. Mona completed this program from 2013 to 2015, further expanding their knowledge and skills in the field of design and multimedia.
