Bassem A. Shakeel

Bassem A. Shakeel is currently the Vice-President and Corporate Secretary at Magna International. Prior to this, they were Senior Legal Counsel at Tesma International from January 2004 to December 2005. There, they supported the corporate office and operating divisions with respect to various corporate/commercial legal matters and transactions. Bassem Shakeel started their career as an Associate at Fasken Campbell Godfrey (now Fasken Martineau) from January 1996 to December 1999 where they practiced in the Business Law department with a focus on corporate and securities law.

Bassem A. Shakeel has a law degree from York University's Osgoode Hall Law School and a B.A. Honours in Political Science from the University of Toronto's Victoria University.
