Young-Joong Lee

Young-Joong Lee, Ph.D has extensive work experience in the IT and security field. Young-Joong is currently employed as the Head of IT & Security at MagnaChip Semiconductor since March 2020. Previously, they held positions at Wonik Holdings as the Group CIO & CISO, Senior Vice President & Executive Advisor from January 2016 to December 2019, at SEMES (SAMSUNG) as the CIO & CISO, Vice President from January 2013 to December 2015, and at Samsung Electronics - Semiconductor as the IT & Cyber Security Executive Director, Vice President from October 1996 to December 2012.

Young-Joong Lee, Ph.D obtained their Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Arizona State University in the years 1993 to 1996. Young-Joong also has additional certifications such as the eCornell Digital transformation Certificate from Cornell University in 2021, the Samsung Group Business Leader Program from Samsung Human Resources Development Institute in 2009, and is a member of Eta Kappa Nu (National Electrical Engineering Honor Society) from IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu in 1989.
