About the role

The Finance Intern performs under direct supervision and contributes to the Accounting and Finance Department of Magnolia Medical Technologies, Inc. The Intern is exposed to the medical device industry and Magnolia Medical's company culture through partnering with the organization’s teams, department supervisors and leads who provide informal mentoring and coaching towards success. The Finance Intern develops business operational expertise, works in a changing environment, and will further develop skills utilized industry wide in regulatory environments.

The right individual to join our team is a self-starter with a dive in and get-it-done approach to trying new ideas, sourcing the best solutions and working collaboratively to solve problems.  This position is located in our downtown Seattle location and we are seeking candidates who are interested in coming on board right away to work with us 8-10 hours per week.

Responsibilities: 

  • Support financing and cashflow management, including but not limited to maintaining financing documentation and internal schedules,
  • Support the accounting department during its financial statement audit.
  • Perform other adhoc requests of the accounting department

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a finance degree, or related BA/BS degree, or pursuing a related MA/MS.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite, primarily Excel.

  • Experience with an accounting software a plus.

  • Demonstrates initiative and innovative thinking.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Adjust to changes and handle uncertainties in the work environment.

  • Learn and retain new information and understand technical information.

  • Strong presentation and writing skills and ability to work in a team environment.

  • Analytical skills generating new and valuable ideas and effective solutions to difficult problems.
