Pat O’Malley

Pat O’Malley, Chief Financial Officer, brings to Magnolia over three decades of successful leadership in finance, technology innovation and global-scale manufacturing and supply chain operations.

Pat has led worldwide Finance, Operations, and Business Unit organizations developing and manufacturing core thru system-level technologies for several of the world’s leading technology companies and brands. His experience spans Fortune 500 to venture-backed stages of growth and scale.

Pat has extensive public markets management and capital formation experience, having led and been involved in over $45B in capital formation, and executed more than $30B in M&A transactions.

Most recently, Pat was Chief Financial Officer of Bright Machines, a leading early-stage venture-backed software, and robotics company spun out of Flex (NASDAQ: FLEX), focused on software-enabled automation for global electronics manufacturing industry.

Previously, Pat was Chief Financial Officer of Avaya (NYSE: AVYA) where he led the successful financial restructuring of the company’s $4B capital structure, taking the company public on the NYSE in January of 2018. During his tenure as CFO, the company’s market capitalization increased by over 60% in less than a year.

Prior to his role at Avaya, Pat was Chief Financial Officer of Seagate Technology (NASDAQ: STX), at the time, the largest data storage solutions technology provider in the world.

During his tenure as CFO, Pat led all global Finance functions and primary engagement with the public markets. The company’s market capitalization grew by $11B from $1B to $12B over that period. Pat also led major capital formation thru debt vehicles and secondaries, totaling over $10B.

At Seagate, Pat’s leadership across a broad range of global initiatives in strategic, operational, and supply chain finance supported over 40,000 employees, manufacturing over 210M storage devices and systems annually. He was responsible for allocating over $1B annually in CapEx to support the company’s expansive global technology development and manufacturing footprint.

Additionally, Pat was a key member of the executive team that partnered with Silver Lake, a leading global technology private equity firm, to execute one of the most successful leveraged buyouts in history, from its acquisition in 2000, thru its IPO on NASDAQ in 2003.

Earlier in his career, Pat practiced public accounting for Arthur Young. He graduated with an Accounting degree from the University of Notre Dame, where he remains active as a member of the Alumni College of Arts & Letters Advisory Board.
