Roger Applewhite

Roger Applewhite is the current President & CEO at MagTek. Prior to this, they were with Runa, Inc. from August 2009 to April 2011 where they were Vice President, Analytics. In this role, they were responsible for all activities related to data analysis, modeling and implementation of decision logic that drove conversion marketing products. Their department developed customized Java classes for capturing and modeling consumer purchase sessions, as well as employing Matlab for Generalized Linear Model (GLM) and Support Vector Machine (SVM) modeling. The models were designed to be implemented directly in their production system to make on-site, in-line, real-time consumer offers, yielding sales lift of up to 80% and profit increases of over 100%.

Before Runa, Inc., Applewhite was with Magensa LLC and before that Manzana Blanca LLC from December 2004 to August 2011 where they were a Consultant/Owner. In this role, they provided strategic consulting in financial services technology and payments to banks, processors and technology companies such as CO-OP Financial Services, American Express, U.S. Bank, TSYS, Net Deposit and Online Resources.

Applewhite's professional journey began at Static Prevention, Inc. where they were Director of Manufacturing and Engineering/Owner from February 2004 to December 2004.

Roger Applewhite has an MBA in Entrepreneurship from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and a BS in Aeronautical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
