Luisa Scott

Luisa Scott, PhD, has extensive work experience in the medical and scientific field. Luisa is currently serving as the Director of Medical Affairs at Mahana since February 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Medical Engagement Manager at Mahana from September 2021 to February 2023. Luisa also worked as a Medical Writer (Publications) at Treximo from July 2021 to June 2022.

Luisa has also worked at Lundbeck as a Medical Writer/Project Manager from March 2021 to July 2021. In this role, they managed content creation for the neurology pipeline and provided medical strategy and planning support.

Before joining Lundbeck, Luisa was the Founder and President of Cognosetta, Inc. from June 2018 to May 2021. Luisa was responsible for developing drug candidates for CNS disorders and managing various stakeholders.

Luisa has also held the position of Director of Alcohol Addiction Research at NuvoNuro, LLC from August 2017 to May 2018.

Luisa's earlier work experience includes roles as a Senior Scientist, Research Scientist, and Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Texas at Austin from 2003 to 2018. Luisa was also an Instructor at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory from July 2009 to July 2010.

Luisa Scott, PhD, obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) and Bachelor of Arts (BA) degrees in Neuroscience and Music, respectively, from the University of Rochester. Luisa further pursued their education at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Neuroscience. In 2019, they obtained a certification in "The Drug Discovery and Development Process" from BioPharma Dive and Bridging Bioscience & Biobusiness.
