Michael Shaw

Michael Shaw is an experienced Orthopaedic Surgery Physician Assistant currently employed at Mahaska Health since March 2021. Previously, Michael served in the United States Air Force for nearly 11 years, holding various leadership positions including Orthopaedic Surgery PA Fellowship Director, overseeing comprehensive orthopaedic services for a large patient population, and managing clinical operations in the Immunizations Clinic. Michael completed a specialty fellowship in orthopaedic surgery through the Air Force Institute of Technology and possesses a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, complemented by an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree from the Community College of the Air Force. Michael's early career includes roles as an Emergency Medical Technician and a Ground Radio Equipment Craftsman.
