Colter Lewis

Colter Lewis is the President of Wealth Management at MAI with a key focus on national growth and development for the firm. With over 25 years of industry experience, Colter is a growth-oriented and strategic professional specializing in building high-performing investment, wealth management, and private banking teams. His role at MAI is the development of innovative advisory capabilities designed to support clients nationally in the achievement of their goals while identifying and cultivating new talent throughout the country who share the MAI culture and values.

He joined MAI in 2022 from the Northern Trust Company, where he was the President/CEO of its Texas region. He also served as a Faculty Member for the Northern Trust Institute, a member of the West Region Executive Team, and a board member for The Northern Trust Company of Nevada.

Colter received his B.B.A in Accounting from Abilene Christian University. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and holds the Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) and Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) designations.

Colter currently serves as the board member of the Greater Houston Partnership, DePelchin Children's Center, the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, and the President's Leadership Council for Houston Methodist Hospital and is an active member of YPO.
