Tate Hinkle, MD, MPH, HMDC, FAAFP has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Currently, they serve as the Regional Chief Medical Officer at Main Street Health. Their previous roles include being a Commission on Quality and Practice member and an AAFP Delegate to the AMA at the American Academy of Family Physicians. They also held the position of Medical Director at Medical Park Family Care and Hospice Medical Director at Enhabit Home Health & Hospice. Before that, they worked as a Family Physician at Russell Medical Center- Total Healthcare and as a Hospitalist at TeamHealth. They gained valuable experience as a Resident Physician at UAB-Huntsville Family Medicine Residency. Additionally, they served as the Student Director on the Board of Directors at the American Academy of Family Physicians. Throughout their career, Dr. Hinkle has demonstrated a strong commitment to enhancing the practice of family medicine and improving quality of care.

Tate Hinkle, MD, MPH, HMDC, FAAFP has an impressive educational background. Tate earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biomedical Sciences from Auburn University in 2006. Subsequently, they attended Troy University from 2007 to 2009, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Biological and Environmental Science.

In pursuit of further academic achievement, Dr. Hinkle enrolled at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. From 2010 to 2014, they successfully completed their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree, specializing in Medicine. Driven by a strong interest in public health, during the period from 2014 to 2016, they pursued and earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree at the same institution.

Continuing their dedication to professional development, Dr. Hinkle is anticipated to complete a Graduate Certificate in Health Informatics at Mercer University in 2023. With this comprehensive academic foundation, Dr. Hinkle has equipped himself with a diverse skill set that encompasses medicine, public health, and health informatics.
