Vice President Supply Chain Management at MaineHealth

Luis Soto has extensive experience in supply chain management within the healthcare industry. Luis began their career in 1983 as an Administrative Coordinator Support Services at Maimonides Medical Center, where they redesigned work schedules and improved customer service. Luis later became the Director of Environmental Services & Patient Transportation. From 1995 to 2005, Soto worked at UNC Healthcare System, where they held roles such as Business & Logistics Manager, Materials Management and Administrator for Critical Care Service. During their time at UNC, they implemented various performance measurement tools to improve customer service and reduced inventory value significantly. Soto then served as the Director of Materials Management at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital from 2005 to 2011, where they successfully managed all aspects of materials management and led various cost-saving initiatives. Luis continued to progress in their career, taking on roles as an Administrator Supply Chain at Greater Hudson Valley Health System and Vice President / Chief Supply Officer at ARIA Health Thomas Jefferson University Health System. Currently, they are the Vice President of Supply Chain Management at MaineHealth, responsible for overseeing all supply chain functions and ensuring effective operations across multiple healthcare organizations.

Luis Soto holds a Master of Health Administration (MHA) degree from Pfeiffer University, which they obtained between 2003 and 2005. Prior to that, they pursued their undergraduate studies at Baruch College from 1988 to 1990, where they focused on Business and Public Administration. Luis obtained an Associate degree in Liberal Arts from New York City Technical College from 1983 to 1986.
