Minnesota Municipal Bond ETF Lead Manager & Fixed Income Assistant Portfolio Manager at Mairs and Power

Brent is the lead manager for the Minnesota Municipal Bond ETF, the first Minnesota Municipal Bond exchange traded fund in the country. Also, as an assistant portfolio manager, his responsibilities include analyzing credit, security classes, market trends, comparable yield and duration and relationships between different fixed-income sectors for taxable, asset-backed, municipal, agency and mortgage-backed securities. Brent assists the Director of Fixed Income with resource allocation, expense management, pricing/fee negotiations, product development and staffing. In 2021, he was promoted to Assistant Vice President.

Prior to joining the firm, Brent was a Fixed Income Analyst at The Travelers Companies in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he worked for seven years.

Brent holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. He is a CFA charterholder.

Brent has been a member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts (NFMA) since 2012 and has served on the Board of Governors both in 2018 and 2019. He is currently Co-Chair of the NFMA’s Webinar Subcommittee. Brent is also involved with the Minnesota Society of Municipal Analysts, where he has been a member since 2012, has served on the Board since 2018, having held the roles of Treasurer, Vice President, and currently President. In addition to these roles, Brent serves on the board of the True Friends Foundation.
