Monique Perez

Program Director, Family Education & Literacy, Tucson at Make Way for Books

Monique Perez is currently serving as the Program Director for Family Education & Literacy at Make Way for Books, a position held since August 2022, while also working as a Substitute Librarian and previously as Librarian II at Pima County Public Library since May 2019. Monique's extensive experience in library and educational settings includes roles as a Children's Librarian, QC Coordinator at NOVA® Home Loans, and Sales Associate at Pandora. Notably, Monique has worked with the University of Arizona Libraries in various capacities, such as Library Information Associate and Graduate Assistant, and held the position of Family Literacy Specialist at Make Way for Books from 2015 to 2017. Monique holds a Master of Arts in Library & Information Science from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor of Science in Education, focusing on Literacy, Learning, and Leadership.
