Avril Wu has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Avril started their career in 2011 as Talent at Mattel, Inc. and YTV Channel before joining DHX Media as Talent in 2013. In 2014, they worked as an Assistant Project Coordinator at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, where they managed a team and organized events for long-term and palliative care patients. In 2018, Avril worked as a Product Designer at ABC Dev., where they designed inventory management software for clients such as Gate Gourmet, Loblaw, and Canon.
From 2016 to 2020, Avril worked at Wesley Tang Designs Inc. as a Designer, contributing their skills and expertise. In 2020, they joined Makeship as a Product Designer, and later in the same year, they were promoted to Senior Designer. Apart from their formal education, Avril also obtained a Certificate in Front-End Web Development from General Assembly Canada.
