James Barber has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. James began their career with MEC Construction LLC in 2008, where they worked as an Equipment Operator and Instrumentation Technician. During this time, they showcased their strong operating skills by constructing natural gas compressor stations and proficiently handling various equipment.
In 2010, James joined Swagelok Western New York as the Assembly, Warehouse & Facility Supervisor. Responsible for overseeing the assembly area, they successfully managed a business with annual sales of $1,500,000. James also introduced new tooling and processes to expand the assembly area's capabilities.
Moving forward, James took up the position of Technical Sales Engineer at Swagelok in 2014. As the main point of technical reference for the territory, they handled special projects, provided quotes, and secured orders. James played a pivotal role in assessing feasibility and ensuring the sale of these projects.
In 2017, James became the Sales Manager at Titan Fittings. James effectively managed the day-to-day operations of the outside sales, inside sales, and customer service teams. Their efforts resulted in a remarkable 53% growth in the first calendar year, with the growth rate reaching an impressive 75% in the second year.
Lastly, in 2019, James joined Makita U.S.A., Inc. as a Territory Manager and is presently serving in this role.
