Olivier David has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Olivier started their career at Eli Lilly and Company with a summer internship in 1996. Olivier then worked at Airbus for a brief period in 1997 as part of their master thesis.
In 1998, Olivier joined Caterpillar Inc. as a design engineer and later transitioned to the role of systems engineer. Olivier stayed with Caterpillar until 2002.
From 2002 to 2005, Olivier worked at Saipem as a lead rotating machinery engineer, responsible for coordinating the engineering, fabrication, and testing of large client-purchased rotating equipment. Olivier then took on the role of a commissioning engineer before leaving Saipem in 2005.
Olivier returned to Saipem in 2006 as a project engineering manager, where they developed technical proposals for large Oil & Gas projects and worked closely with clients on engineering-related issues.
In 2008, Olivier joined Air Liquide as a deputy project manager, responsible for contract management and project control. Olivier was later promoted to the role of project manager, overseeing all aspects of projects, including engineering, procurement, planning, cost/budget, logistics, construction, and commissioning. Olivier worked at Air Liquide until 2011.
Since 2011, Olivier has been with MAN Energy Solutions. Olivier initially worked as a bid manager and key account manager, responsible for managing a major industrial gas company, Air Liquide, and developing proposals for large air compressors. Olivier also handled clarifications and negotiations with clients for order bookings. Olivier's roles at MAN Energy Solutions evolved, and they eventually became a senior backend software engineer and frontend microservices lead, specializing in Angular and Go for full-stack development.

Olivier David completed an Executive MBA program at Mannheim Business School and ESSEC Executive Education from 2012 to 2013. In 1996 to 1997, they pursued a specialization in turbomachinery at Technische Universität Darmstadt, which served as the partner university of the Ecole Centrale de Lyon. Olivier also holds a graduate general engineering program degree from Ecole centrale de Lyon, obtained from 1994 to 1996. In terms of additional certifications, Olivier obtained a Professional Scrum Master certification from Scrum.org in 2019 and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in 2015.
