Simon Mittag

Simon Mittag has a strong background in technology and leadership roles. Simon most recently served as the Chief Technology Officer at Managed App, where they led an engineering team distributed between the Philippines and Australia. Prior to that, they were an investor and adviser for the online retail start-up marie édith, focusing on expanding the business to the USA. Simon has also served as the Chief Technology Officer for WeMoney, where they were responsible for the product and technology roadmap and managed a team of 8. Simon held a similar position at Ezypay, overseeing a team of 18 and managing a platform that serviced 6,000+ merchants in 10 countries. Simon was also the Chief Technology Officer at Sypht, a pioneer in the AI SAAS space, and played a significant role in the development of its first supervised learning model. Simon began their career as a Lead Engineering Manager for BCG Digital Ventures, where they managed digital incubation projects both in Australia and overseas. Simon was also a founding member of the Boost team, responsible for hiring and leading the engineering workforce, and played a key role in the successful launch of the Boost digital wallet. Additionally, they served as an Engineering Manager at OVO, where they contributed to the company's growth and success in the Indonesian digital payments landscape.

Simon Mittag attended Akademie fuer Datenverarbeitung in Boeblingen from 1991 to 1994, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus on Commerce in IT. Additionally, they obtained the Typescript certification from Code With Mosh in July 2023 and the Machine Learning certification from Coursera in May 2017.
