Senior Planning & Insights Project Lead at Manchester United

Emily Atyeo has worked in various roles within the sports industry. Emily started their career at Aston Villa Football Club as a Producer/Presenter of Villan FM from October 2004 to July 2007. Emily then moved to Swindon Town Football Club as a Broadcast Officer in June 2008. Later in the same year, they joined Watford Football Club as a Watford TV presenter and reporter and also served as a Media Relations Officer until October 2012.

In 2013, Emily joined Manchester United and held several roles over the years. Emily started as a Content Planning Executive, where they co-produced the launch of the first MU Club App and managed media content planning across various platforms. Emily then became a Media Project Manager, overseeing account development and project management for digital, social, website, and MUTV. Emily played a significant role in launching MUTV Online, the club's first global D2C Video On Demand product.

With a proven track record, Emily took on the role of Media Account Development Manager at Manchester United in December 2017. Emily led all external global content opportunities with sports teams, influencers, and media outlets. Additionally, they managed major partnership projects and served as the lead project manager for Manchester United summer tours. In April 2019, Emily became the Content Chief of Staff, focusing on media/content collaborative opportunities and project management. Emily'sresponsibilities included driving global growth initiatives, specifically in Asia and the US, and establishing key stakeholder relationships with companies like NBC, NFL, Adidas, and WWE. Emily also led media operations, logistics, and project management for the MU Tour.

Emily later transitioned to the role of Senior Ecommerce Content Manager in May 2021, where they spearheaded the management of ecommerce content. Emily then took on their current position as the Senior Planning & Insights Project Lead, starting in January 2023. Throughout their career, Emily has leveraged their expertise in media, content planning, project management, and stakeholder relationships to make valuable contributions to the sports industry.

Emily Atyeo began their education in 2005 at the University of Birmingham, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Media, Culture, and Society. Emily successfully completed their degree in 2008. Following their undergraduate studies, they enrolled at Staffordshire University in 2007, where they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) in Sports Broadcast Journalism in 2008.

In addition to their formal education, Emily Atyeo has also obtained two certifications. In July 2020, they completed the "Developing Credibility as a Leader" certification from LinkedIn. Emily also acquired the "Strategic Thinking" certification from LinkedIn during the same month and year.
