Gene Schafer

Gene Schafer has extensive experience in athletic training and sports management, with current roles as an Advisory Board Member for both Manhattan Youth and Downtown United Soccer Club since 2017 and 2022, respectively, as well as serving as the Owner of ARC Athletics and a Sales Executive at LilaMax Media since 2014. Previously, Gene held the position of Managing Director for Athletic Training Services at the NYC Department of Education, where responsibilities included enhancing health and wellness programs for student athletes. Gene's background includes serving as an Athletic Trainer for various sports at Columbia University and experience as a Fitness Trainer at Goldman Sachs Fitness Center. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Athletic Training from Purdue University and a Master of Arts in Physical Education from Teachers College, Columbia University.
