Daniel Bryan Goodman is a skilled researcher and advisor specializing in genome function and biotechnology. Currently serving as a Jane Coffin Childs Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, San Francisco since June 2017, Goodman explores the relationship between DNA sequences and cellular outcomes using advanced sequencing technologies. In addition to this role, Goodman holds multiple positions as a scientific advisor at Retro Biosciences, Manifold Bio, and NExTNet Inc. with prior experience as a scientific consultant at ArsenalBio and a research fellow in genetics at Harvard Medical School. With a Ph.D. in Medical Engineering/Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Goodman has a strong background in bioinformatics, structural biology, and synthetic biology, which includes conducting significant research during tenure at the Wyss Institute, the Cambridge Research Institute, and the San Diego Supercomputer Center.
