Embedded Software Engineer at Manna Drone Delivery

Brian Waters has a diverse work experience in various technical roles. Brian started their career as an intern at Analog Devices, where they assisted a senior RF IC Design Engineer. In this role, they gained experience in IC characterization and creating test circuits.

After that, Brian worked at Deloitte Ireland as a Data Analytics Analyst. Brian was involved in a Big Data Analytics project in the financial services sector, working with technologies such as Hive, Impala, and PySpark. Additionally, they developed an automated analytical pipeline using Python and Bash.

Following their tenure at Deloitte, Brian joined Benetel as an Embedded Software Engineer. Here, they developed software for PIC micro-controllers to enable logic and control of RF front end radio products. Brian also worked with multiple processor architectures and developed user-space applications for interacting with RF modules.

Brian then joined Eiratech Robotics, initially as an Embedded Software Engineer and later promoted to Lead Software Engineer. In this role, they led a team of engineers working on embedded applications for controlling robots. Their work involved programming in C, C++, and Python, ranging from baremetal firmware to fleet control programs.

Currently, Brian is with Manna Drone Delivery as an Embedded Software Engineer, starting in 2023.

Brian Waters received their education in electronic engineering. Brian began their academic journey in 2005 at Colaiste Lorcain, Castledermot, where they obtained a Leaving Certificate in 2011. Brian continued their studies at University College Dublin from 2011 to 2014, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering. Brian's education continued at the same institution, where they pursued a Master's Degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering from 2014 to 2016. In January 2018, they obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera.
