Tarra Freel

Tarra Freel has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Tarra started their career in 2015 as a Playgroup Monitor at The Dog House and then worked as a Tasting Room Associate at Tippy Creek Winery. In 2016, Tarra served as a Server at Lynnwood Grill & Brewing Concern and also worked as a Pet Sitter for Rover.com.

In 2017, Tarra began their journey in the field of animal nutrition. Tarra worked as a Nutrition Consultant Assistant at Koutsos Consulting, LLC and as a Research Assistant at NC State University Graduate School. During this time, they also served as a Teaching Assistant at North Carolina State University.

Tarra further expanded their expertise in animal nutrition by working as an Animal Nutrition Consultant at Petrics, Inc. in 2018. Tarra then joined EnviroFlight® in the same year and held multiple roles, including Nutrition Consultant, Regulatory & Technical Assistant, Research Scientist - Nutrition, and Innovation Team - Nutritionist. Tarra continued their career in animal nutrition at Compana Pet Brands, where they currently hold the position of Nutrition & Research Manager-Specialty Pets since 2023.

Tarra Freel pursued their educational journey by enrolling at North Carolina State University from 2017 to 2019. During this time, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Animal Science and another MS degree in Nutrition. Prior to that, they attended Purdue University from 2011 to 2015, where they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Animal Sciences. In addition to their formal education, Tarra Freel has obtained several certifications. Tarra acquired a certification in Feed Manufacturing from Kansas State University in April 2023. Moreover, they became a Preventative Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) through the American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) in October 2022. Lastly, Tarra Freel obtained a Forklift Operator certification from the OSHA Safety Training Institute in August 2022.
