Mike Calorossi has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Mike started their career at Tepnel Life Sciences in 1995 as a Manager and worked there until 2001. Mike then joined DiagXotics Inc as a Manager of Technical Operations from 2001 to 2003. In 2003, they joined MannKind Corporation and held several positions, including Supervisor, Formulations Production; Materials and Documentation Specialist; Manager, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing; Associate Director, Clinical Manufacturing; Associate Director, Clinical Supply Operations; Associate Director, Manufacturing; Director, Manufacturing; Director Production; Director Manufacturing and Warehousing; Executive Director Manufacturing and Logistics; and Vice President Manufacturing Operations. In their various roles at MannKind Corporation, they were responsible for overseeing commercial manufacturing, warehousing, transportation, and logistics operations of Afrezza, MannKind's Inhalable Insulin product. Mike also managed materials management, production planning, bulk drug product manufacture, fill/finish operations, shipping and receiving, commercial, clinical, and R&D warehousing, and domestic and international product shipments. Mike also gained experience in foreign trade zone management.
Mike Calorossi has a strong educational background in the field of biology and biochemistry. Mike obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology/Pre-Medical from the College of the Holy Cross, where they studied from 1991 to 1995. Later, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology from New York Medical College, completing their studies between 1998 and 2001.
In addition to their academic qualifications, Mike has also obtained certifications relevant to professional development. Mike completed the "Goal Setting: Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)" certification from LinkedIn in March 2023. Furthermore, they obtained two certifications from LinkedIn in December 2022: "Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences" and "Psychological Safety: Clear Blocks to Innovation, Collaboration, and Risk-Taking."
