Annie Duong-Turner

Annie Duong-Turner has a diverse and extensive work experience. Annie currently holds the position of Director, Community Investment - US & Asia Lead at Manulife since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked at John Hancock for several roles. From June 2021, Annie served as the Director, Community Investment - US Lead, where they led and directed the community investment strategy in the US. Before that, they were a Senior Manager, Community Investment, Corporate Responsibility from March 2020 to June 2021. In this role, they managed a $4.8M department budget and expanded financial literacy access for Boston youth. From September 2018 to March 2020, Annie was a Program Manager, Corporate Responsibility, where they led various initiatives and managed the MLK Scholars Program. From August 2016 to September 2018, they worked as a Community Investment Analyst, Corporate Responsibility, streamlining workflows and improving efficiency in grant review processes. Annie's work experience at John Hancock started as a Program Administrator, Corporate Responsibility from June 2014 to August 2016, where they pioneered the "Opening Doors to the Community" initiative and introduced an innovative grants management system. Prior to their career at John Hancock, Annie worked at Suffolk University as a Research Assistant from October 2011 to May 2014 and as a Writing Center Tutor from September 2012 to May 2013.

Annie Duong-Turner completed their Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from Northeastern University from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sociology from Suffolk University, graduating between 2010 and 2014. Annie Duong-Turner began their educational journey at Boston Latin Academy from 2004 to 2010. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications including "Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce 2022: Leading with Purpose" from Harvard Business School in December 2022, "Goal Setting: Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)" from LinkedIn in January 2022, and "Learning Data Science: Tell Stories With Data" from LinkedIn in November 2021.
